Join us in the first of our series of Philosophy and Law talks to hear Claire Hogg discussing the relevance of mental disorder to culpability assessments within the criminal law. Her most recent work proposes a guiding heuristic for the reformulation of objective tests, to significantly expand the options available to us in assessing the culpability of defendants with mental disorder. This talk will be chaired by Lord Jonathan Mance, former Deputy President of the Supreme Court. Lord Mance currently sits as an international judge on the Singapore International Commercial Court and as an arbitrator. Ticket price for this event includes a networking and drinks reception.
