Join Deafinitely Theatre for a deaf-led, interactive day exploring men’s mental health and the actions we can take to support each other. Inspired by themes from our production of Bull, the event will create an open and supportive space to discuss men’s mental health and the pressures that they may face. The day will include facilitated conversations and small-group discussions. Together, we will explore practical actions we can take to support men’s mental health beyond the event. Through facilitated conversations, interactive activities and small-group discussions, we will explore themes including: • Masculinity, silence and shame • Isolation, belonging and deaf identity • Stress, anger and healthier ways of coping • Relationships, work and financial pressure • Accessing mental health support • How friends, families, workplaces, services and communities can offer better support The day will focus on honest discussion and practical action. Together, participants will consider realistic changes and first steps that can continue beyond the event. You can contribute as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
