Window to the Spirits: 4TH BIRTHDAY (Kinetic Edition)

adjective: kinetic - relating to or resulting from motion... (of a work of art) depending on movement for its effect. Headliner: NYLA Window to the Spirits celebrates its 4TH Birthday with a KINETIC edition - an open mic and cypher. We are welcoming poets, singers and rappers to perform on the open mic and to go with the flow in the cypher. There will be an open mic in the first half to perform please sign up on arrival. The 20 minute cypher is at the end where everyone is welcome to perform while we play beats this is open to poets, rappers and singers. No intros, or preambles just mic, beats and flow. Everyone is encouraged to stand, move and dance to amplify the energy in the room. Art should move you, move through you and move others - in a sense, art should be KINETIC.
