Introduction to Textile Screen Printing (Sept - Oct)

This six week course is an introduction to screen printing for textiles. By the end of the course you will have made a collection of textiles samples showcasing a range of screen printing techniques. You will explore an array of different outcomes using stencils, blank screens and pre-exposed screens to print onto fabric. Dates & times*: Tuesday 22 September 2026, 6pm - 8pm Tuesday 29 September 2026, 6pm - 8pm Tuesday 6 October 2026, 6pm - 8pm Tuesday 13 October 2026, 6pm - 8pm Tuesday 20 October 2026, 6pm - 8pm Tuesday 27 October 2026, 6pm - 8pm The course will cover: • Creating designs for screen printing with stencils, • Screen printing with pre exposed designs and stencils, • Colour mixing and printing using basic and opaque binders, • Mono printing through blank screens with binders, • Flock and foil application, • Printing using metallic, pearl, and puff techniques and materials • Opportunity to experiment and combine all the techniques you have learnt. Inspiration and themes will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. After you have successfully paid for the course, you will be sent a separate registration form where you will be able to tell us about any access requirements you have.
