Experience the cemetery through the lens of photographer, Margaret Flo McEwan, as she takes you on a guided tour of her favourite vistas. We are delighted to be collaborating with photographer and friend of the cemetery, Margaret Flo McEwan, to bring you this event. Join me for a walk on the south side. Brookwood Cemetery spans over 220 acres, and while it’s impossible to cover it all in one walk, this guided wander will take you through my favourite places, hidden corners and beautiful photographic angles. Whether the weather gifts us golden sunlight or raindrops falling like tears on Brookwood’s angels’ faces, there will be beauty to capture everywhere. This walk is perfect for photographers of all levels, whether you have an iPhone, compact camera or professional kit, as well as non-photographers who simply enjoy atmosphere and beauty. This is not a technical photography lesson or a history talk; it’s an opportunity to see the cemetery through a different perspective, with an eye for detail, composition and vistas. I’ll show you: • My favourite mausoleums • My secret picture spots • Unique angles you may never have noticed If we’re lucky enough to see the deer, we will keep a respectful distance and photograph them from afar. If you have a zoom lens, you might like to bring it. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable, sturdy footwear. Brookwood is vast, atmospheric and endlessly photographic.
