Fun day out with like minded women AFTER BOOKING PLEASE SEND ME YOUR PHONE NUMBER to [email protected] Event information: We will arrive at Castleton and walk through this picturesque village moving towards Mam Tor, Hollins Cross and conclude at Lose Hill, walking across the impressive ridge you will be rewarded with breaktaking views. Parts of this walk include uphill hiking therefore can be challenging. The descent can also be slippery. There are many steps uphill and although much of the route is moderate the incline can be particularly challenging. Please ensure that you are fit and able to compete a distance of 6 /7 miles across a varying undulating course. Take medical advice and clearance if in any doubt, if you are new to trails leg strength building and endurance walks across trails is recommended to help prepare for this walk. Ticket bookings have two options General admission for the coach £25.50 OR Your own transport if you don't need the coach transfer which is £7.50 per person Once you have booked please email me with your name and phone number Non ticket holders are will not be able to join the walk. Allow 6 hours for this event, no-one will be left behind, all will be supported and encouraged throughout. Do bear in mind there will be a continuous pace throughout with some agreed stops for drinks, lunch and of course photo opportunities to enjoy the scenic surroundings! Please remember to bring your packed lunch, water and snacks. Please do consider the needs of the entire group when you attend, it will be a group walk and you are not able to wander off alone for any reason or stride ahead or fall far behind. We will walk at a casual pace with breaks. Difficulty level: Moderate but challenging in parts Terrain: Trail paths, slippery underfoot, footpaths, solid paths, steps, grassy. Accessibility: Poor, stiles, uneven terrain. Full details of kit list will be sent upon booking. Please contact the organiser for any questions. If you arrive with poor or inadequate kit on the day you may be refused entry to participate. Please note this walk is on a first come first serve basis and there are limited seats as per the coach capacity. The walk will commence regardless of bad weather unless there are extreme weather warnings. Please come prepared with the right kit and equipment, a kit list will be shared with you upon booking. It is important to note there is little phone signal please prepare your plans with this in mind. Travel and Parking Meeting point for the coach is Ward Hill Car Park 26 Wellington St, Batley WF17 5HZ and travelling to YHA Castleton Losehill, Losehill Hall, Squires Ln, Hope Valley S33 8WB Depart 8.30am from Batley and return from Castleton at 5pm. Own transport users please arrive for 9.30am at the venue above. Once we arrive we can use the facilities at YHA and then swiftly depart on the walk. Upon completing the walk there is a room available for prayers. Please speak to organisers if you need to use this. Please arrive on time there will not be capacity to wait for late arrivals and the group will be leaving as per the start time indicated. If you miss the coach you are welcome to join the walk using your own transport. No refunds for cancellations or for non attendance. No transfers of tickets or seats all sales are final. Emergency Contacts Please ensure you have made an emergency contact aware of your walk. If an unforeseeable injury or accident occurs you are responsible for making arrangements to return or seek help you require. Organisers will do their best to support you but do not hold any responsibility to make arrangements for untoward scenarios.
