Life Drawing - Autumn

This session is for artists seeking time to draw, reflect and strengthen their observational skills in a supportive yet independent study. About the Session This two hour session offers a calm, self-led space where participants can fully engage in observational drawing of the human form at their own pace. Occasional helpful tips and prompts are offered during the session. This event is grounded in trust and professionalism. Participants are asked to maintain a respectful atmosphere at all times for the comfort and dignity of the life model - thank you. Weather this is your first session or you're returning to art after a break, you'll be supported in a non-judgmental enviroment where you can explore figure drawing at your own pace, no previous experience is required - just a willingness to observe and give it a go. You're very welcome to bring your own materials. As the studio is also used for yoga classes, we kindly ask that you take care to keep this space clean and avoid materials that may mark/stain floors or surfaces. Thank you. What to Expect • Gentle warm-up gesture sketches to warm up and capture movement • Mid-length poses to study the forms proportion and balance • Short break - drinking water will be provided. While refreshments aren't included, you're very welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. If you'd like to bring a flask, hot water will be available to top up during the session. • Extended pose for more in-depth detailed study, observing negative space, shadow or experimental mark making. It's up to you how you use this time - you're free to move about the room to explore different perspectives of the form. Free parking close to venue - this can become busy at peak time.
