Brian Wood, Gabe Singer & 季明 Jimmie Public ticket sales open at 5pm on 28 October 本紀錄片從坪洲其中一間現存歷史最悠久的食肆「雞翼陳」出發，探尋坪洲的歷史變遷。上世紀七十年代，隨着坪洲戲院開幕，以及鄰近愉景灣住宅區落成，餐廳一度迎來全盛時期；其後多間工廠相繼結業，加上坪洲戲院於1987年停業，生意亦隨之陷入低潮。儘管經歷種種起伏，陳氏一家仍堅持營運至今，數十年如一日，端出一道道家傳風味，亦默默見證着香港的急速發展，以及這個小漁村面貌的變遷。 本紀錄片以陳氏一家作為坪洲當代故事的核心，透過他們的視角，探討坪洲以至香港人的生活如何被時代推動並變遷。 For decades, Chicken Wings Chan has been a constant presence on a changing Peng Chau. As one of the island’s longest-running restaurants, it witnessed an economic boom in the 1970s, when the area was bustling with cinema-goers and a fresh crowd of weekend visitors from a new housing development across the bay. Then came the quieter years of the 1990s when the factories and cinema shut their doors, followed by a slow and steady revival in the decades to follow. Through it all, the Chan family has kept both the restaurant going and the neighbourhood’s spirits high, serving beloved family recipes (both old and new!) to a dedicated clientele. This documentary tells the story of Peng Chau through the eyes of the Chan family, offering a personal window to bigger changes that have shaped life on the island, and in Hong Kong beyond it.
