In Conversation – Éadaoin Glynn and Kim Crowley

Join artist Éadaoin Glynn and curator Kim Crowley for a conversation exploring the ideas behind the exhibition The Slow Moon Climbs. They will discuss Glynn's research and her physical approach to painting while touching on subjects such as identity, midlife and the cultural invisibility imposed on women as they age. They will explore what it might mean to make space for an understanding of female midlife, positioning it as a threshold for possibility and transformation. Éadaoin Glynn is a painter based between Cork and Kerry, Ireland, whose work centres on female experience: ageing, visibility, and the body as a site of cultural pressure. She paints with acrylic on raw and primed canvas, using paint's tendency to bleed, stain and resist control to produce surfaces that feel vulnerable and unstable. Solo exhibitions include Studio 12, Backwater Artists Group, Cork [2026], Signal Arts Centre, Bray [2025], Limerick Museum [2024] and ArtNetDlr, Dublin [2024]. She has exhibited widely in Ireland and the UK, including the RHA, Dublin; the RSA, Edinburgh; Women In Art Fair, London; the BEEP Painting Biennial, Wales andThe London Art Biennale. Her education includes the RHA School and Turps Correspondence Course. She hosts The Warrior Artist Podcast as a resource for visual artists. Her work is in private collections nationally and internationally and was acquired by the Department of Foreign Affairs for the Irish Embassy in Wellington. Kim Crowley is a curator based between Cork City and Co. Kerry. She works primarily with language, participatory events and expanded publishing. She utilises methods of production that foreground experimentation, process and exchange. Recent work includes an exhibition and residency at the TRISKEL SAMPLE Project Space, Triskel Arts Centre, Cork (2026). In 2025 she established her own publishing project What Now. Since 2019, Kim has been co-director of Bloomers, an artist-led publishing collective in Cork City. She is a graduate of the MLitt in Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) from the Glasgow School of Art and is a graduate of the Crawford College of Art and Design.
