The Borgia Legacy

An Archaeology & Wine Experience The Borgia Legacy is an intimate, immersive journey into the world of one of the most fascinating, powerful, and controversial families of the Renaissance. Led by a professional archaeologist together with a Master Sommelier, the experience unfolds through stories of ambition, political intrigue, corruption, alliances, betrayal, and vengeance — revealing the forces that shaped the rise of the Borgia dynasty and the Rome in which they moved. As the story develops, guests are guided through a carefully curated wine tasting, featuring selected Italian wines chosen to complement the atmosphere and themes of the experience. Each wine becomes part of the narrative, creating a sensory connection between taste, history, and place. The tasting is accompanied by a specially prepared Roman-style aperitivo, designed to enrich the experience and invite guests to slow down, listen, taste, and discover. Through archaeological insight, historical storytelling, and wine, guests are invited beyond the legends to explore the real mechanisms of power in Renaissance Rome: how influence was built behind closed doors, how reputations were shaped by propaganda, and how fear, wealth, and diplomacy could determine the fate of families and cities. More than a traditional wine tasting or historical talk, The Borgia Legacy is a refined cultural experience where archaeology, storytelling, and wine come together to bring Renaissance Rome vividly to life.
