Meeting Big Feelings (Upper Primary)

A fun and interactive workshop for Primary School students to learn to handle big feelings with calm and confidence. This event is exclusively for Upper Primary (P4-P6) students. Theme: Emotion Regulation Big feelings such as anger, worry and frustration are a natural part of growing up—but children may not always know what to do when these feelings become overwhelming. In this engaging and supportive workshop, children will explore their emotions through age-appropriate activities, reflection and simple mindfulness practices. They will learn to notice early body signals, use practical calming strategies and express their feelings in healthier ways. The workshop helps children build emotional awareness and confidence so they can make calmer, more thoughtful choices at home, in school and with friends. Learning Objectives: • Recognise and name common emotions and related body signals. • Understand that feelings are temporary and can change over time. • Practise simple strategies to calm their minds and bodies when upset. • Express and respond to emotions with greater awareness and confidence.
