The conversation | What does it actually take to build a digital economy that puts people, purpose, and long-term thinking ahead of short-term extraction? We don't have all the answers, but we know good conversations happen over good drinks, so we're gathering a small, informal crowd at Tolhuistuin for exactly that. Who’s in the room? | This one's for you if you're curious about who really controls the platforms and infrastructure we all depend on, whether different ownership models can make technology companies more resilient and purpose-led, or what business actually looks like when it's built to exist, rather than exit. Mostly though, it's for anyone with an interest in this topic who wants to meet interesting people they wouldn't normally run into. We're deliberately mixing things up, so expect folks from steward-ownership circles, investors, founders, and purpose-driven organisations all in the same room. The evening | The plan is simple: show up, grab a drink, and let the conversation go wherever it goes. We'll officially wrap up around 19:00, though knowing Amsterdam evenings, things might naturally continue from there. We're keeping this one intentionally small, capped at around 30 people, so it stays easy to actually talk to everyone instead of shouting across a crowded room. If you register, please do your best to show up; we'd rather keep the group tight and full of people who really want to be there. Het gesprek | Wat is er écht nodig voor een digitale economie waarin mensen, missie en de lange termijn belangrijker zijn dan kortetermijnwinst? Daar praten we over, onder het genot van een drankje, in kleine kring in de Tolhuistuin. Voor wie | Vraag je je af wie eigenlijk eigenaar is van de platforms en infrastructuur waar we allemaal van afhankelijk zijn? Of andere eigendomsvormen techbedrijven weerbaarder en missiegerichter kunnen maken? En hoe een bedrijf eruitziet dat is opgezet om te blijven, niet om verkocht te worden? Dan ben je van harte welkom. Dat geldt ook voor iedereen die mensen wil ontmoeten die je normaal niet snel tegenkomt. Er komen mensen uit de steward-ownershipwereld, investeerders, oprichters en maatschappelijk gedreven organisaties. De avond | Loop binnen, pak een drankje en zie waar het gesprek je brengt. Officieel sluiten we rond 19:00 af, maar wie wil, kan gerust nog even blijven hangen. We houden het bewust klein, met maximaal 30 mensen, zodat je met iedereen kunt praten.
