Khao soi night

Thai social food club. A cosy evening of making Khao Soi from scratch! A communal Thai cooking & dining experience 📆 Sunday, 22 November 2026 🕓 16:00–20:00 📍 DB55, Danzigerbocht 55, 1013 AM Amsterdam Every Asian country has its own take on noodles and broth, and in Thailand, we have Khao Soi! Join us for an evening of making Khao Soi from scratch, from pounding our own curry paste with a pestle and mortar to making fresh egg noodles by hand. We'll start by getting to know the ingredients, spices and flavours behind Khao Soi, before learning the traditional techniques of making curry paste. Everyone will get to make their own paste and take home a jar to recreate the dish later. Afterwards, we'll split into groups and cook together, making fresh egg noodles, a rich coconut curry broth, crispy tofu, chilli oil and all the toppings that bring a bowl of Khao Soi together. Then comes our favourite part — sitting down around the table to enjoy a warm bowl of noodle soup together, followed by mango sorbet with coconut sticky rice for dessert. 🥭 What's on the table? • Khao Soi with tofu and fresh egg noodles • Crispy noodles, chilli oil and traditional toppings • Mango sorbet with coconut sticky rice What's included? • A hands-on Thai curry paste and noodle-making experience • A shared meal around the table • A welcome drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) • A jar of your own Khao Soi curry paste to take home • A recipe card so you can recreate the dish at home • All ingredients and equipment No cooking experience needed — just come hungry and ready to get your hands a little messy!
