MAAP X CYCO presents Fuel Her Speed!! Join Charlotte and Lauren for an evening all about nutrition. Nutrition plays a huge role in cycling, the right fueling can make or break a race, a training session, or your recovery. Learning how to fuel properly in training is essential for improving performance and reaching your goals. At MAAP, we value pushing your limits, but you can't reach those limits without giving your body the fuel it needs to perform. 6:30pm: arrive + nibbles 6:45: kick off Background on speakers: Charlotte is a qualified nutritionist with an area in sports nutrition and women’s health nutrition. The nutrition information evening caters to this interest and is a super important population to target for nutrition interventions and education. I recently competed in my first half ironman this year so I can relate to being newer to a sport and not always knowing how to tackle it. Lauren is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian specialising in sport and womens health (BAppSc Sport and Exercise Nutrition, MMHSc Nutrition and Dietetics). I am passionate about encouraging women's involvement in sport at all levels. Fuelling is a huge component to support longevity, wellbeing and enjoyment in sport. This is why I am passionate about providing sport nutrition education to women at the upcoming MAAP event.
