Hands On Ecology series: Ngahere & Interconnected Biodiversity - 11 Dec 2026

Join us in learning te ao Māori approach to restoration! Hands On Ecology workshop series is designed for community restoration groups and anyone keen to learn about restoration ecology through a te ao Māori lens. A 3-hour session offers practical skills for restoring private and public spaces, and may include up to 2 hours of walking—please dress appropriately and bring water/snacks. This session covers: • Pulling all the learnings of the last nine weeks together. • Markers of success • Shared learnings • Plant identification • Speak to the whenua, describing the site & site analysis • Wrap up, shared kai Registration is essential as participant numbers are limited for health and safety reasons.
