Join us for another Repair Cafe on Waiheke! A collaboration between Island Waste Collective, Waiheke Resources Trust and Repair Café Aotearoa New Zealand!We will have volunteer repairers who can help you fix: Electrical items, clothing, bikes, jewellery, small furniture, tools, toys, and much more...feel free to email us if you are not sure if you can bring your item and we will confirm if we have the right person available who can help Please note bike repairs are available from 12 pm only This Repair Cafe is part of Repair Festival Aotearoa https://www.repairnetworkaotearoa.org.nz/repair-festival Usually, we allow 30 minutes per item for repair or diagnostics, and we generally recommend bringing no more than two items per person. If there’s no one waiting, we can sometimes squeeze in a little extra time for you A quick reminder about the Repair Café vibe: it’s not a drop‑off service where you leave your item and head out for a coffee or a beach walk. The whole magic of a Repair Café is in connecting, learning, and fixing things together, so it’s important that you stay with your item while one of our volunteers helps you out We’re lucky to have an amazing team with a huge range of skills and talent To give you an idea of what happens at a typical event, at one of our our last Repair Cafés we: • Assessed 69 items • Successfully repaired 53 • Provided expert advice for 7 future fixes Location: Waiheke Resources Trust & Sustainability Centre, 1A Mako Street, Oneroa, Waiheke Island 1081Date & Time: Sunday, 27th of September 10am-2pm Please bring koha as the donation supports the volunteers time for advice and repairing of your item Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] See you there!
