A one-day workshop in Biographical Work. Small group - limited to 10 places A day to reflect on your own life We are all, always, moving between one chapter and the next. This one-day workshop offers a space to pause, reflect and discover where you are in your own life story through teaching, guided reflection and creative exploration. It is for anyone, not only those facing an obvious crossroads. The day draws on anthroposophical Biography Work and a wider recognition of the developmental rhythms and thresholds of human life, observed and reflected upon across cultures and throughout history. While every life is entirely individual, we share the experience of moving through phases of development, change and becoming - each lived in our own unique way. The work offers a way of stepping back to view the shape and unfolding of your life with greater curiosity and perspective, and to explore what this stage of your journey may be asking of you. Across the day, we'll work with three questions: • Where have I come from? • Where am I now? • What is wanting to emerge? Body, Soul and Spirit Biography Work approaches the human being as body, soul and spirit - three dimensions of our being that continually unfold and come into relationship throughout a lifetime. This workshop offers an introduction to exploring your own life through this wider understanding of human development, alongside the rhythms, transitions and thresholds that shape a life. The day invites you to step back from the immediacy of your own life and become a witness to your story, with curiosity and perspective. This is reflective Biography Work rather than therapy. It is not a space for therapeutic processing or the disclosure of deeply personal or difficult material. Sharing is always optional, and attendance itself is full participation. The Venue The workshop takes place at Villa Rustica, a beautiful retreat setting overlooking the ocean, around 30 minutes from Dunedin. The setting offers a chance to step out of the everyday and spend a day with your own life story, with space for reflection, creative work and conversation. Find out more about the venue: Villa Rustica About Julie As a Biographical consultant, I guide people in exploring the phases, thresholds and turning points of their lives, helping them gain a deeper understanding of where they are, what this stage of life may be asking of them, and how they might move forward with greater clarity. My approach is grounded in an anthroposophical understanding of the human being and the developmental journey of life. It has grown from broad and varied professional and life experience, alongside formal study and a lifelong engagement with questions of human development and the inner life. While every life is unique, human life also has its own rhythms, developmental phases and thresholds. Biography Work offers a way to step back and see the shape and unfolding of your own life, bringing these wider perspectives into conversation with your individual experience. At the heart of the work is the opportunity to come to know yourself more deeply - to recognise how you have become the person you are, what has shaped you, what matters to you, and what may be emerging as you move forward. I am a guide in this process. You are the authority on your own life. My role is not to tell you what your life means, but to help you develop the perspective to see it more clearly for yourself.
