Mitey is delighted to host a special parenting evening in Queenstown with Shirley Pastiroff—counsellor, mindfulness trainer, author of The Mindful Parent, and mother of five. This practical and encouraging evening is for parents, caregivers, and whānau who want to feel more equipped to support their children’s emotional wellbeing and build stronger, more connected relationships at home. Shirley will share mindfulness-based tools, backed by science, to help parents: • Better understand what sits beneath behaviour • Reduce reactivity • Set boundaries with warmth and clarity • Respond to children’s big emotions with greater confidence Whether you are parenting young children, tweens, or teenagers, this evening will offer practical ideas, honest conversation, and helpful tools you can take home and use straight away. Hosted by Mitey as part of our commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau. A note for parents: To allow all attendees to fully engage and participate, this session is designed for adults only (parents, caregivers, and educators).
