Starling: Sparks to a Flame

Artistic lineages are traced through readings by four pairs of writers, drawn from past and present pages of Starling, the journal for writing by Aotearoa authors under 25. With current Starling writers reading alongside previous contributors who have inspired them, expect discovery and delight from the murmuration. Featuring Alexandra Cherian, Aroha Witinitara, essa may ranapiri (puke), Kermit Winona, Khadro Mohamed (Before the Winter Ends), Rachel Lockwood, Taika Davis, and Tessa Keenan (AUP New Poets 10). This venue is wheelchair accessible. This event is part of VerbCrawl, a one-night-only, high-energy literary festival, that takes over the streets of central Pōneke.
