Climate Resilience in the Age of AI – An Evening with Innovators

The climate crisis is accelerating. So are AI capabilities. What becomes possible when these two realities meet? An evening to explore how AI can help communities prepare for and adapt to a changing climate, bringing together climate experts, technologists, innovators and organizations working on the frontlines of climate change. Through powerful climate storytelling, leading research and practical examples from around the world, we will look at where AI can make a real difference, from understanding risks earlier to helping communities protect lives, livelihoods and ecosystems. The stage program will bring together perspectives from climate science, AI research and innovators applying technology in practice. You will also have the opportunity to meet seven international organizations developing AI solutions for communities already facing the effects of climate change. Expect to be surprised by what AI is already making possible, and to leave more hopeful about what comes next. You’ll hear from Dr. Heïdi Sevestre — Glaciologist, polar explorer and climate communicator Victor Galaz — Associate Professor of Political Science, Stockholm Resilience Centre and Stockholm University Olof Mogren, PhD — Co-Founder, Climate AI Nordics, and Research Director, Deep Learning, RISE Anna Lerner-Nesbitt — Founder and CEO, Climate Collective David Sandström — Chief Marketing Officer, Klarna More speakers and participating organizations will be announced.
