Rouge Park Fall Festival

Come celebrate autumn and the new Master Plan with free , family activities and food at Rouge Park! This fall, the City of Detroit is completing their 15 Year Master Plan for Rouge Park and Friends of Rouge Park is honored to be hosting a community celebration to unveil the plan. Join us to celebrate this exciting moment and Rouge Park's first Fall Festival! Event Details: Rouge Park Fall Festival Date: Sunday, October 18, 2026 Time: 12-4pm Location: Sorensen Recreation Area (corner of Spinoza Dr. and Sawyer Ave, by the canon) Cost: FREE! What to Expect: • Free food • Warm drinks • Pumpkin Painting • Bonfires and Smores • Guided nature walks to see the Rouge River and Sorensen Promenade! • Face painting • Arhchery • Resouce Vendors • Dj's • Tent with the future Master Plan of Rouge Park with opportunities to share feedback • Nature-themed activities • and more TBD! Accesibility: This event will take place on a mostly flat, grass lawn. The optional guided nature walks contains 15-20 steep stone steps to the river with no railing.
