Cultured - Supper Club

For one evening, moth's private listening room becomes a dining room. Chef JC Ricks is best known as the chef and co-owner behind Dandelion Cafe, the Houston breakfast favorite that grew from one Bellaire coffee shop into three locations and won Good Morning America's "United States of Breakfast" competition. This dinner turns to the food he grew up with. Ricks was raised in a Liberian household, where weekend mornings meant watching his mother cook big, generous meals made with care. He went on to train in fine-dining kitchens and work with Underbelly Hospitality. At this supper club, that training meets the dishes of his heritage: rice, cassava, plantain, greens and slow-built stews, cooking shaped by West Africa and by Liberia's ties to America and the Caribbean.
