In this hands-on workshop, Pino and Jane walk you through a gluten-free pistachio olive oil cake from scratch. You will learn the basics of baking with extra virgin olive oil, how liquid gold can take the place of butter, and why Southern Italians have been baking this way for generations. Jane lives gluten-free, so you are learning from someone who bakes this way in her own kitchen. We open with a guided extra virgin olive oil tasting and a spread of hand-crafted Italian antipasti: cheeses, cured meats, and Pino's own creations. Because that is simply how a proper Italian evening begins. Then we get to work. Every guest mixes their own batter and takes it home, ready for the oven, along with a recipe card. Bake it that night and let your kitchen smell like a Calabrian nonna's. No experience required. Just bring your wine.
