From Application to Offer

Resumes, cover letters, job search and interviews: what moves you from the pile to the interview. During the SacJobs Fall Career Fair. Everything between finding the job and getting the call: resumes, cover letters, interviews. You're applying and hearing nothing back. It isn't just you. A single Sacramento job posting now draws thousands of applicants, and most of them never get a reply. This workshop walks through what actually moves you from the pile to the interview: a resume built for the seven seconds a recruiter gives it, a cover letter worth writing, a search strategy that gets you in front of real people instead of shouting into an application portal, and interview answers you've practiced before you need them. You'll leave with specific changes to make this week, not general advice. Bring your resume if you have one. Workshop Details Date: Thursday, November 5, 2026 Time: 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM Location: Scottish Rite Center, 6151 H Street, Sacramento. Free parking Cost: $30 Held during the SacJobs Fall Career Fair, the same day at the same location.
