Memphis Matters

Join us for a night of spontaneous stories that spark instant impact. Everystory — watch the video here! Playback theatre thrives on spontaneous stories. At a Memphis Matters show, an audience member – the teller – shares a personal reflection or story, whether lighthearted, moving, or challenging. Our Ensemble then reenacts it with care, creativity, and compassion. This process of sharing and witnessing affirms that every story is valuable, worthy of being told, and fully accepted. Through words, movement, and music, we connect through playback theatre to unite art and social change. Join us in celebrating Memphis’ people and experiences, unlocking healing, transformation, and joy—one story at a time.
