The P.J Madry Experience

Pianist Jack Madry brings the P.J. Madry Experience to The Side Door for a night of standards, blues, contemporary, and gospel. Jack Madry – Piano Kirk Edwards – Saxophone John Moore – Drums Jim Hunter – Bass Chris Leigh – Guitar Jack Madry is a jazz pianist and pastor at Madry Temple Church in New London, Connecticut, whose lifelong relationship with music runs deep, shaped by the rhythms of gospel, the history of the civil rights movement, and decades spent at the piano bringing people together through sound. A beloved figure in the southeastern Connecticut community, Madry brings a rare blend of spiritual depth and musical versatility to everything he plays. With the P.J. Madry Experience, Madry leads a group built for range, moving comfortably between jazz standards, blues, contemporary sounds, and gospel, a reflection of the full breadth of his musical life. Joined by saxophonist Kirk Edwards, drummer John Moore, bassist Jim Hunter, and guitarist Chris Leigh, this is a night built on feel, soul, and the kind of connection that only comes from musicians who have spent years playing together in their own community. The Side Door Jazz Club is a dedicated jazz listening room located inside the historic Old Lyme Inn, 85 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT. Tickets are reserved seating. Guests dining at the Old Lyme Inn prior to the show receive 10% off their dinner bill.
