Full description from organizer

Learn about the Counseling Compact and determine how it could help your practice. Tickets are $95. Therapy Space is hosting a continuing education event at Suite 501 in Franklin, TN on the topic of The Counseling Compact. The Counseling Compact creates a landmark change in the Professional Counseling landscape. As of October 19, 2026, eleven of the 38 Compact States, including Tennessee, are now live (i.e. active) enabling eligible Licensed Professional Counselors in those states to apply for privileges to practice in other live Compact States. This in-person seminar provides essential information and guidance for licensed professional counselors (e.g. LPC/MHSPs) who are interested in becoming Compact Counselors. Learning Objectives: • Identify the five provisions for practicing legally across state lines. • Explain the purpose and function of the Counseling Compact. • Describe the requirements and steps for a professional counselor to become a Compact Counselor. • Discuss strategies for determining which Compact States might be best for an LPC to pursue a privilege to practice. Details: Our speaker, Terry Casey, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist, HSP (TN #1975) has trained thousands of mental health professionals about cross-state practice and the Counseling Compact. He has conducted over 300 webinars, seminars, and presentations related to ethical, legal, and practice issues. Since 2008, Dr. Casey has taught Ethical, Legal, and Professional Issues in a CACREP-accredited M.S. program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He also served as the Clinical Director for a large counseling and psychological services organization for 18 years. Dr. Casey operates a consulting practice near Nashville, Tennessee, serving private practices and counseling/mental health-related organizations. Continuing Education Credits: This seminar provides 3.0 CE hours (3.0 NBCC hours) through Renaissance Counseling & Psychological Specialists (RCPS) (NBCC ACEP 7457)*. Continuing education requirements of state licensing rules for different mental health professions can change without notice. Always check your state's licensing rules to be sure about your current CE requirements. *NBCC statement: RCPS is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. CE certificate: To receive a CE certificate, participants must meet all NBCC requirements for the program. This includes being physically present for the entire seminar and completing a course evaluation at the conclusion of the program. Essential information below! Please READ before registering.
