Family Constellations Weekly Workshop

Family Constellations is an experiential approach to observing and shifting patterns within one's relationships. People and objects in the room represent elements of someone’s personal issue for tangible interaction with the issue’s components. In group sessions, someone working on their issue will invite other attendees to represent factors of the issue. Other attendees can either accept the invitation or opt to remain outside of the constellation as supportive witnesses. The facilitator comes alongside the person working on their issue to assist them in navigating the revelations that arise and in making changes to shift patterns. No previous experience with Family Constellations is needed to attend. Attendees keep each other’s identities and all contents of group sessions confidential. YOUR FACILITATOR Lara Marcin comes to Family Constellations through a deep love of participating in the work herself. She is humbled and awed by how Family Constellations brings people into embodied presence within themselves and with each other such that even difficult, complicated challenges can be brought to light. Inspired to show up in this embodied presence more consistently and to enable others to do the same, Lara enlisted in Bill Mannle, LMFT's Family Constellations facilitator training program. Lara intends to open up space for her clients to better know themselves. Rooted in a long history as a choreographer, theatrical director, and dance educator, Lara facilitates the same curiosity, open mindedness, trust-of-self, enhancement of instinct, and willingness to fail inside her constellation sessions. DIRECTIONS FOR ENTRY Centered is located in the same building as East Rock Market. STEP 1: Enter through the outside double doors. STEP 2: Don't go through the doors to the market itself. Instead, turn right then left to see another set of double doors leading to a long hallway. STEP 3: If there is no one waiting for you at the hallway doors, use the doorbell to the left of the double doors to call Centered. STEP 4: Once in the hallway, follow the signs to Centered's entrance. Keep following the signs. The path to get to Centered's entrance can feel surprisingly long from the front doors, but the signs will lead you there. Preference will be given to group members who came to previous sessions and didn't work on their issues. Lara is an integrative facilitator, not a therapist. Work with Lara is not a substitute for professional or medical consultation. Outcomes of each session are not predictable and are dependent on the individual. Previous results do not guarantee similar outcomes. Clients sign a liability waiver during their first session which will cover all subsequent Family Constellations work with Lara until the waiver’s content changes.
