You’re invited to a special Dolly Parton-inspired Sip & Shop at Mellow Monkey benefiting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library through the Stratford Education Foundation. For one fun evening, we’ll pay tribute to Dolly with complimentary libations, shopping, music and a little more Dolly than you would normally expect to encounter in a Stratford warehouse. Best of all, 15% of your in-store purchases during the event will be donated to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for Stratford children.* About Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Dolly Parton created the Imagination Library to inspire a love of reading by providing books to young children at no cost to their families. Here in Stratford, the program is supported by the Stratford Education Foundation and provides eligible children with a free, age-appropriate book mailed directly to their home each month—helping families build home libraries and encouraging a lifelong love of reading. According to the Stratford Education Foundation, just $31 can provide an Imagination Library book to a Stratford child every month for an entire year. So yes, shopping can actually help put books into the hands of local kids. Dolly would approve. Come for the cause. Stay for the Dolly.
