Bent on Learning Yoga Class Fundraiser

Help support Bent on Learning, bringing yoga, mindfulness and meditation to NYC public schools since 2001. Please join us for a 60 minute yoga class to benefit Bent on Learning! Get ready to move and stretch with Lok, our talented instructor who has generously volunteered her time (again!) to contribute to the organization. Class will begin promtly at 6:30 pm, so please plan to arrive by 6:15 pm. Yoga mats will be available for use. About Us Bent On Learning uplifts youth through yoga and mindfulness education. To date, we have served over 24,000 kids in New York City schools, cultivating a sense of belonging in their bodies, minds, classrooms and communities. Yoga and mindfulness are proven to increase attention, self-esteem, compassion for self and others, and executive functioning, while decreasing factors that inhibit learning such as stress, anxiety, and depression. About the Instructor Lok is a New York-based yoga teacher specializing in Hatha-style yoga. She is deeply committed to continuing her education in yoga in order to create a more inclusive and diverse yoga community.
