Tango and Cash utilizes tropes from various musical genres and eras, rooted heavily in slowed and throwed, modern synthesis, ethnographic recordings, and frequency modulation. The Duo started as an ode to the musical contributions of DJ Screw and continue to evolve around the narrative of chopped and screwed as the central form of their collaboration. Robbie Pangaea and Joe Denardo are musicians and visual artists based in NYC and Athens, Greece. Individually they have performed and exhibited extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Making their debut at Stereo Mandrax this month is Spa Day, a duo featuring Tran (Weak Signal, 00 Action Group) and Paula Henderson (Moisturizer, A La Mode, Burnt Sugar, The Love Choir, etc. etc. etc.)
