Author Storytime with Molly Harris

Join us for Author Storytime with Molly Harris (Whirby) to celebrate her new book, I Need Space! A rocket ship demonstrates how taking some time by yourself can help you cope with stressful or overwhelming situations in this sweet and brightly illustrated picture book about regulating emotions, perfect for fans of I Am a Tornado and Nobody Hugs a Cactus. Following her reading, Molly will answer audience questions and sign books! There will also be a craft for those who wish to participate. Tickets for this event are free, but we ask that all guests RSVP as space is limited. There is also a bundled ticketing option for those who would prefer to preorder the book. We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please reach out to [email protected]. Ticket holders who purchased a book-included ticket and are unable to attend the event will be able to pick up their book at An Unlikely Story up to 30 days following the event. ABOUT THE BOOK: For a rocket ship like Rocco, space is one big playground, but like most playgrounds, not everyone plays by the rules. Rocco tries to be patient with the toy-stealers and line-cutters…until he’s knocked off course by some roughhousing meteors. Suddenly he can’t take it anymore! Luckily, before he blows a fuse, Rocco remembers that sometimes the best way to cool his jets is to get some space. All it takes to refill his tank is a few peaceful minutes by himself—after all, space has plenty of room for everyone to have fun!
