Twist of Tradition: Hands-On Challah – Latkes, Lights & Loaves

Hanukkah is here, and we’re bringing the celebration to the Hands On Challah table! Get your hands in the dough alongside our friends from Wise Sons with live braiding demos and a festive spread of sweet and savory mix-ins inspired by the holiday. Twist, fill and top your loaf with flavors like rosemary-infused olive oil, Wise Sons Everything spice, za’atar, brown sugar, Hanukkah sprinkles and jelly donut classic fillings like raspberry jam and chocolate. Come ready to experiment, braid and take home a challah with a little Hanukkah flair. Then stick around as the celebration continues with the lighting of the hanukkiyah at 4:30, live music with Jonathan Bayer and plenty of crispy fried treats to go around. Whether you're learning for the first time or returning to a familiar ritual, braid your own challah to take home and bake, then fill your kitchen with the comforting aroma of fresh bread and Shabbat. Drop in on fourth Fridays for a fresh twist each month, from seasonal flavors and creative braids to beloved classics. All are welcome. No culinary experience needed. RSVP encouraged. Drop-in welcome while supplies last.
