Full description from organizer

Learn visible mending techniques to repair, reuse, and add life and personality to your ripped or worn clothing with creative hand stitching Learn how to repair your favorite clothing using visible mending techniques 🩷 This beginner-friendly class is designed for people with little to no sewing experience, as well as those who have tried basic mending and want to improve their skills. Bring an item of clothing that needs some love, learn how to patch it, and give it new life with colorful stitching and fabric! Hosts: Dustin & Rose Teacher: Dustin What to Bring • ✂️ A pair of scissors • 👖 An item you'd like to mend (pants, shirt, skirt, bag, etc.) • 🧶 Patch fabric in a color or pattern you like Acceptable fabrics (non-stretchy only): ✅ Denim ✅ Cotton ✅ Canvas ✅ Linen ✅ Corduroy 🚫 No leather or stretchy fabrics, please! (Not suitable for this class) Good to know: Rips on pant legs (thighs, knees, calves) are generally easier to mend than those around the hips or butt. We recommend choosing an easier repair for your first project. 🪡 We Will Provide • Plenty of embroidery thread • One needle per participant, yours to take home. ❓ Frequently Asked Questions What is patch fabric? Patch fabric is a piece of fabric used to cover or reinforce a damaged area of clothing. Choose something with a color or pattern you enjoy! It should be a non-stretchy fabric, such as cotton, denim, or linen. It is best if the patch material is significantly larger than the area you intend to patch. Why aren't stretchy fabrics allowed? Stretchy fabrics are significantly more challenging to work with, especially when you're learning. We're keeping things simple and beginner-friendly What skill level is this class for?
