Home for Horror: Final Destination 2 (2003) · R

Death comes calling again after a devastating freeway pileup, hunting the survivors through a series of increasingly elaborate accidents. The sequel to the surprise 2000 hit doubles down on the franchise’s central premise: Death has a plan, and you cannot cheat it forever. It opens with one of the most infamous freeway pileups ever staged for the screen, and continues as the survivors are hunted by increasingly baroque, Rube Goldberg-style accidents. Sharper, meaner, and more inventive than the original. Early-2000s horror at its most gleefully cruel.
