Perhaps you're someone in a clinical cosmetic environment who is confident with clinical treatments but wants to create a more relaxed, considered client experience. Maybe you're new to the beauty or skin industry and facial massage still feels awkward. Or perhaps you've simply never been properly shown how to use your hands confidently on a client's face. Confident Touch: Facial Massage Foundations has been created specifically for you. This is a 4-hour, small-group, hands-on workshop focused on the foundations of professional facial touch and massage. Rather than overwhelming you with dozens of techniques, I'll teach you a simple, repeatable massage sequence while helping you understand the things that make touch feel good — pressure, pace, rhythm, hand placement, transitions and flow. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN During our four hours together, we'll work through: • Cleansing the skin using slow, intentional movements • Hand placement and maintaining confident contact • Understanding pressure, pace and rhythm • A simple, easy-to-follow facial massage sequence • Face, neck and décolletage massage techniques • Positioning yourself comfortably around the treatment bed • Creating smooth transitions between movements • Moving confidently from cleansing into massage • Applying moisturiser and finishing products with intention • Creating a relaxed and professional client experience The aim isn't to give you 50 movements that you'll forget the following day. It's to help you understand how good touch should feel and give you a strong foundation that you can continue building upon. THIS IS HANDS-ON TRAINING You won't spend four hours sitting and watching me demonstrate. I'll show you the techniques, and then you'll practise them yourself. Students will work in pairs and take turns being both the practitioner and the client. I believe experiencing good touch is just as important as learning how to perform it. Feeling the pressure, rhythm, pace and transitions yourself gives you a much better understanding of what your own clients experience when they're on your treatment bed. That's why the workshop is limited to a maximum of 8 students. WHO IS CONFIDENT TOUCH FOR? This workshop is ideal for: Cosmetic nurses & injectors If you're confident with the clinical side of your treatments but want to develop softer, more intentional touch and elevate your client experience. New beauty & skin therapists If you're early in your career and want more confidence getting your hands onto a client's face. Complete beginners If you've never learned facial massage before and want somewhere supportive to start. Anyone wanting to improve their facial touch If you'd simply like to understand how pressure, rhythm, hand placement and flow can completely change the way touch feels. Previous facial massage experience is not required. If you're already an experienced facial therapist and you're looking to refine an existing massage style rather than learn the foundations, my separate Facial Massage Refinement Workshop will be more suited to you. IMPORTANT: WHAT THIS WORKSHOP IS — AND ISN'T Confident Touch does not teach you how to perform a facial treatment. We use cleansing, facial massage and moisturiser application as the practical framework for learning professional touch. The focus is on: Cleanse → Massage → Moisturiser This allows us to concentrate on your hands — how you make contact, how you move, how much pressure you use, how you transition and how you create flow. This is a non-accredited professional development workshop and does not provide a formal beauty qualification or accredited certification. Participants are responsible for ensuring they hold any qualifications, insurance or other requirements necessary for services they choose to provide professionally. You'll be able to revisit the principles and techniques we've covered, refresh your memory and continue practising in your own time. Think of the face-to-face workshop as the place where we get your hands working — and the online resource as somewhere you can return whenever you need a refresher. WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY Because this is practical training, you'll be working on each other. Please be prepared to both give and receive the massage techniques. Students will be asked to: • Arrive without makeup where possible • Keep nails short and smooth • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely • Be comfortable working with and receiving touch from another student You'll receive further information before the workshop, along with a short pre-training questionnaire so I can understand your experience and what you're hoping to gain from the day.
