SEXtember For First Nations Students

SEXtember: First Nations Yarn, Lunch and Games As part of the University’s SEXtember initiative to keep our community informed about sexual health and safe sex practices, First Nations Student Support is hosting a relaxed, shame‑free session just for mob. It’s a culturally safe space to yarn openly, ask questions, and get clear info without any pressure. We’ll be joined by a sexual health educator from Shine SA, who’ll chat about the services, testing options, and resources available for First Nations people. You never have to share anything you’re not comfortable with — but if you do want to talk, there’ll be people there who can support you. What’s happening on the day: • 🍕 Free Domino’s lunch for all students • 🎟️ Raffle with three $50 gift cards up for grabs • 📚 Take‑home resources to keep you informed • 🧢 Merch available for students • 🎲 Chill games and activities to keep the vibe fun and relaxed • 🤝 Supportive space where you can yarn privately if you need Come along, grab some food, connect, and get informed in a culturally safe and welcoming environment. You can come and go if you need. ✨ This session is also a great chance for First Nations Education and Health students to build confidence in supporting First Nations people around sexual health and wellbeing. By hearing directly from a sexual health educator and engaging in a culturally safe yarn with mob, students can learn how to share information respectfully, respond without shame, and better understand the needs of First Nations communities. It’s a relaxed environment to listen, learn, and strengthen culturally informed practice.
