Ink in the Blood: Writing Gothic Fiction with Nike Sulway

Learn how to write enthralling gothic stories with award-winning writer Nike Sulway. This three-hour workshop will provide you with a rich understanding of the key elements of gothic fiction. You will learn how to combine these key elements to create stories full of dreadful fascination and dark delight. Whether you want to write short stories, a novel, or poetry, the workshop will support you in generating a wealth of dark materials for enchanting (and terrifying) your readers. Learning outcomes As part of this workshop, you will: • Identify and understand the key features of gothic storytelling. • Draw on your own experiences to generate unsettling imagery, themes, and relationships. • Work with prompts and structured exercises to create story seeds full of atmosphere and moral complexity.
