“Future Foundations: Foundations for Lifelong Wellbeing for Families in the Peripartum” Hosted by: GCH Lavender Mother-Baby Unit QLD Perinatal & Infant Mental Health Symposium 2027 Welcome to the QLD Perinatal & Infant Mental Health Symposium 2027! This professional development event brings together the best local and national speakers to upskill those interested in perinatal and infant mental health, held at Souhtport Sharks Events Centre, Gold Coast. This years’ theme focuses on the diverse mental health challenges families face by exploring how services assess and respond to the unique needs of families in the peripartum. This two-day event offers a unique perspective on perinatal and infant mental health care across governmental and non-governmental agencies, all around Queensland, and throughout the different stages of recovery. Day One (1) showcases two full day workshops whereby participants can select to attend one of the following workshops: • Helen Stevens - Trauma Informed Approach to Relationships and Infant Sleep • Dr Tamsin Kane - Improving the mother-infant relationship following postnatal depression: HUGS, a brief intervention. Day Two (2) includes plenary sessions with keynote and invited speakers covering topics such as: Solihull Approach, Digital Interventions, Support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and Eating Disorders in the Peripartum. Join us in shaping a more inclusive, supportive, and resilient approach to perinatal and infant wellness for every family.
