Strengthening After-Hours Support & Emergency Management Planning for RACHs

Tweed LGA: Bringing together two practical sessions designed to strengthen your home's after-hours support and local emergency planning Healthy North Coast PHN is inviting every Residential Aged Care Home (RACH) in the Tweed Local Government Area to this workshop, bringing together two practical sessions designed to strengthen your home's after-hours support and local emergency planning. By attending both sessions, you will assist your home in building practical strategies that align with key Aged Care Quality Standards. The workshops are delivered by Enkindle and Safer Future and are funded by Healthy North Coast Primary Health Network (PHN). We think it's important that your RACH is represented at both sessions, with the right people in the room for each one. You have the option to register all day, for the morning session only, or the afternoon session only Session 1: Improving After-Hours Support for RACHs | 8.30-11.45am Who should attend: Clinical Managers, After Hours RNs and Facility Managers. What will the workshop cover: Connect with RACHs from across the region to share challenges, map available after-hours services, and develop practical strategies to support residents when care is needed most. Session 2: Building Your Emergency and Disaster Management Plan | 12.30-3.30pm Who should attend: Emergency Management Leads, Facility Managers and General Managers. What will the workshop cover: We'll talk through your experience to date, what you already have in place, and where you feel the gaps are. We'll map out what emergency response looks like in the region and who can help, building a clearer picture of the escalation pathways and response partners your plan needs to include.
