About Us We are a WorkSafe approved training provider and us such we are able to train any HSRs from any sector. However, as the union representing local government, social and community services, energy, water, transport, and associated public sector industries, our expertise lies with OHS regulation in these contexts. If you are from a different sector, please consider signing up with a different training provider. About the Course After completing a 5 Day HSR Initial OHS Training Course, all elected HSRs and Deputy HSRs have the right to attend a WorkSafe Victoria-approved 1 Day HSR Refresher OHS Training Course every year they hold office. This WorkSafe-approved interactive training course includes relevant case studies and activities. HSRs and DHSRs will leave with the confidence, skills, and knowledge needed to represent their co-workers (i.e. designated work group) when raising health and safety concerns in the workplace. Participants get a chance to review important content of the HSR Initial OHS Training Course. Don’t forget, an employer must allow the HSR/DHSR to attend on paid time, pay the course’s cost and any other costs. Section 67 also allows HSRs and DHSRs to choose who delivers the course.
