Slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with nature on a guided spring meditation walk beside the Yarra River in Warrandyte. A peaceful start to your Springtime Saturday! Spend a spring morning slowing down beside the Yarra River with Joyful Insight. Listen to the river and birds, breathe deeply and open your senses to Warrandyte's bushland. Guided meditation, mindful walking and gentle community connection offer space to feel calmer, clearer, refreshed and more alive. This is a one hour experience using a portion of the Jumping Creek Reserve to Black Flat route, not the entire route or full loop. Our focus is presence, nature and connection, with time to pause and enjoy the surroundings. The walk may include: • Gentle grounding and breath awareness • Guided meditation in nature • Mindful walking through the forest • Sensory awareness practices • Quiet reflection beside the Yarra River • Moments of silence and stillness • Opportunities for connection and conversation with others • Simple practices for calm, presence and awareness You will be encouraged to move at your own pace, honour your personal boundaries and participate in whatever way feels comfortable. There is no pressure to share anything personal. Who is this walk for? This nature meditation walk may be for you if you want to: • Slow down and connect with nature in a mindful and relaxing way • Begin your weekend feeling refreshed, peaceful and alive • Feel calmer, clearer and more grounded • Reconnect with the natural environment and open your senses • Experience meditation in a beautiful outdoor setting • Experience gentle connection with yourself and others • Enjoy beautiful and peaceful time beside the Yarra River • Deepen your awareness and presence When and where 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Melbourne local time. Meet in front of the toilets beside the Jumping Creek car park at Jumping Creek Reserve, Warrandyte State Park. Parking and toilets are available at the starting area. Arrive at 10:00 am sharp. The group leaves no later than 10:10 am and cannot wait for late arrivals once we have departed into the reserve. The guided event is designed to run for one hour. Participants aged 15 and over may attend independently. Children under 15 attend free with a responsible adult and must have an Under 15 Child — Free ticket. There are a maximum of 10 paid participants and 15 people overall, including accompanying children. Every person attending needs a ticket. Difficulty and safety The walk is classified as 'moderate' difficulty, so it is a genuine bushwalk through a natural environment. Participants need adequate fitness to comfortably walk through nature for an hour or more. Tracks may include uneven ground, rocks, roots, irregular surfaces and potentially slippery terrain, particularly depending on weather. Wear good footwear suitable for bushwalking, follow reasonable safety instructions and advise Phi before starting if a relevant mobility issue could affect safe participation. Bring any personal medication you may reasonably need. What to bring Drinking water, suitable walking or bushwalking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, a rain jacket or weather appropriate outer layer, and insect repellent. A small sitting mat is optional for meditation pauses. Dogs No pet dogs. Parks Victoria does not permit dogs in this area. Assistance dogs are subject to Parks Victoria entry requirements. Weather, cancellations and refunds If Joyful Insight cancels the event, including because of unsafe weather, extreme heat, high fire danger, park closure or another genuine safety issue, participants receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 24 hours before the event, you receive a full refund. Participant cancellations within 24 hours of the event are not refundable. Photography Photography may occur during the walk for use on the Joyful Insight website only. Images will not be used on social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let Phi know before the walk. Photography is not a condition of attendance, and you may opt out. Come as you are, take a breath and enjoy a peaceful morning in nature.
