Everyone Belongs in Lake Mac: Truth Telling Session | 15 September

Build cultural understanding through truth telling, shared learning and meaningful conversation. Belonging starts with all of us. During Welcoming Week (10–20 September), Lake Macquarie City Council is offering free training to help strengthen cultural safety and inclusion across our community. Join Bindelong Aboriginal Corporation for a Truth Telling Session exploring Aboriginal histories, lived experiences and cultural understanding. Grounded in truth-telling and lived experience, this session will build understanding of racial discrimination and support participants to contribute to more inclusive and culturally safe communities. This event is designed for community services practitioners, Council employees, community organisations and others interested in fostering belonging and inclusion in Lake Macquarie.
