Intergenerational Storytime Picnic

Come along for a joyful morning of stories, giant games and morning tea. Meet new friends, bring along a parent, grandparent or older neighbour and connect with your community. This is a free family-friendly event for all, from newborns to those aged 100+. Everyone is welcome. Physical and neurological diversity is beautiful. Please let us know if you are bringing a carer, and how we can help with sensory accommodations. Special guest Karen Blair will be sharing her wonderful books. Karen writes and illustrates from a sunny studio in Fremantle and has had her books read on Play School. Light refreshments provided therefore bookings are essential. Please book one ticket per person attending; this includes children and carers. Please note: • Story content is aimed at children aged 5 and under. • Caregivers must remain with their children at all times. • This event will go ahead in the event of bad weather in Lesser Hall next door. • Photographers may be on site during the event. Please let the organiser's know on the day if you do not wish to be photographed. Sensory information Please let us know if you are bringing a carer, and how we can help with sensory accommodations. • Our space • We will be sitting on the ground. • Please bring your own picnic rug and cushions. • Chairs can be provided upon request, if required. • Toilet amenities available. • Weather • If the weather is nice, we will be outside on the grassed area near the Braithwaite Park playground. • If it rains, we will move inside Lesser Hall, next to the playground. • Sounds • We will be talking, singing and eating. • There may be other park users making noise. Event Cancellations Unless otherwise specified this event will go ahead regardless of the weather conditions on the day. If you can no longer attend, or are sick on the day, please cancel your ticket protect people with vulnerable immune systems and to allow others the opportunity to attend.
