The Nook Sessions - Holly 'Cookie' Baker

The Nook Sessions presents Holly ‘Cookie’ Baker Thursday 3rd December | 6:30pm | BYO | Ages 13+ Sparkling vocals, sharp wit and songs that sneak up on your heart. Holly ‘Cookie’ Baker brings her captivating blend of alternative country, folk and dreamy pop to The Nook. Raised on a farm by the seaside in rural South Australia, Cookie pairs poetic storytelling with a playful streak. Her songs move from cheeky country tales to sweeping indie-pop heartbreakers and stripped-back folk, delivered with warmth, humour and an unmistakable voice. She’s recorded with Tim Rogers, toured and written with Mick Thomas and Angie Hart, and shared stages with Neko Case, Kate Miller-Heidke, Ben Lee and Vikki Thorn of The Waifs. Her album This Is Not A Love Song captures the breadth of her songwriting, tender, bold and never short of personality. Following an extensive Australian and New Zealand tour in 2025 and the release of The Winter, featuring Ollie English, Cookie’s 2026 spring tour brings new music to unique spaces across the country, including our little listening room in Cooroy. “A masterclass in turning heartbreak into something luminous… shimmering with both fragility and strength.” — Tsk Tsk Magazine BYO your favourite drink, settle in and enjoy an intimate evening of songs and storytelling.
