Advanced Life Support (ALS) - Level 2 Accreditation Training at Sydney Adventist Hospital

Target Audience Registered Medical Practitioners and Registered Nurses. Overview Adventist Healthcare Limited in partnership with Resuscitation Australia are proud to offer ALS2 accreditation training. Developed by Resuscitation Australia, this course provides essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively recognise, assess and manage critically ill patients and lead cardiac arrest situations until advanced support arrives. The following topics will be covered: • Recognition and assessment of critically ill patients • Management of deteriorating patients • Airway management techniques • Defibrillation • Cardiac arrest management • Special circumstances • Effective team dynamics We encourage you to review the ALS2 Course Structure below. The ALS2 course complies with Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR) Guidelines and National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. Refreshments, morning tea and lunch will be provided. Important Pre-Course Requirement - eLearning Completion of the eLearning component is mandatory prior to attending the face-to-face training day. Resuscitation Australia recommends allowing up to one day for your ALS2 eLearning, which consists of 35 modules. You must provide evidence of your completed eLearning on arrival at the face‑to‑face session. Please note that failure to do so will result in Resuscitation Australia not permitting entry to the training.
