Come Back to Yourself

This community event is for women who want to connect with like-minded people, tap back into their creative inner child and move their body in a judgement-free environment. Come Back to Yourself is an intimate experience created for women to reconnect with who they are, meet like-minded women and explore new ways of expressing themselves. Through guided meditation, journaling, creative expression, group connection and ecstatic dance, you’ll be invited to tune in and reconnect with the playful, curious and authentic parts of yourself. This is a space to be fully you — to explore, express, create, move and connect, surrounded by women who are doing the same. WHAT TO EXPECT * Guided Meditation: We will begin by slowing down and bringing attention inward. A guided meditation to help you arrive in the present moment. * Journaling exercise: Guided writing no designed to spark curiosity, reflection and discussion. * Group connection and child-like creativity: Get back in touch with the feeling of creating without the need for perfection. Connect and make friends in a low-pressure environment, working together and connecting through art. * Dance without expectation: We will finish by turning up the energy and dancing however we feel. Let all the energy out this is a space where you can move freely, play, take up space and express yourself through music and movement. EVENT DETAILS: DATE: Sunday 27th of September LOCATION: Manly Youth and CC - Main Hall (Kangaroo Street, Manly NSW) TIME: 10am - 1pm Optional group lunch after at Girdlers - keep chatting with your new friends (: (lunch not included in ticket price) Please bring a yoga mat or your favourite pillow to sit on. Feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. There is a limited group size to ensure an intimate, safe container. If the weather is nice we might go for a dip in the ocean so bring your swimmers if you like!
