The Gathering Ground; November Gathering The Mental Load

The Gathering Ground is a monthly gathering for women who want real connection. November's Theme: The Mental Load The things we carry. The things we rarely talk about. Ever feel like you have got 37 tabs open in your brain, and you're not entirely sure where the music is coming from? The appointments to remember. The conversations to have. The things to organise, anticipate, follow up on, or simply not forget. And then there's all the stuff nobody necessarily sees. The expectations we place on ourselves. The emotional energy we give to others. The little things we're constantly thinking about, even when we're supposed to be relaxing. Sound familiar? For our November Gathering Ground, we're opening up a conversation about The Mental Load - the visible and invisible things we carry through everyday life. Not to figure out how to do more, become more productive or fix everything on our never-ending lists, but top get curious about our experiences, share a few stories, have a laugh and perhaps discover that some of the things we thought were uniquely ours are actually pretty universal. Because sometimes, simply hearing some else say "Me Too" can make all the difference! What to expect We will begin with a gentle guided meditation to settle into the evening, followed by tea and relaxed thoughtfully guided conversations. There will be opportunities to connect in smaller groups as well as the wider circle. with plenty of room for different perspectives, shared experiences and wherever the conversation naturally takes us. You don't need to know anyone before you arrive. You don't need any meditation experience, and there is never any pressure to share more than feels comfortable. Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning from our founding gathering, you are warmly welcome.
