Pumping & Bottle Feeding 101: Confident Feeding for Your Newborn Preparing to pump, bottle-feed, combo-feed, or return to work and want to feel more confident about how it all works? Our Pumping & Bottle Feeding Class in Toronto is a practical, supportive session designed to help expecting and new parents understand pumping, milk storage, bottle feeding, formula supplementation, and how to build a feeding approach that works for their family. Whether your baby will receive expressed breast milk, formula, or a combination of both, this class gives you practical tools to make feeding feel less overwhelming and more manageable. This class is hosted by Boboto Care & The Nanny Grove. What You’ll Learn During this interactive class, we’ll cover: How to choose and use a breast pump Understanding flange sizing and comfortable pumping When and how often to pump Establishing and maintaining milk supply Safely storing, freezing, thawing and warming expressed breast milk Choosing bottles, nipples and feeding equipment Paced bottle feeding and responsive feeding techniques Recognizing hunger and fullness cues Introducing a bottle to a breastfed baby Combination feeding with breast milk and formula Formula preparation and safe bottle handling Cleaning and sterilizing pumps, bottles and feeding equipment Building a realistic pumping and feeding routine Preparing for returning to work or spending time away from baby Supporting parental rest and wellbeing while managing feeds You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how pumping and bottle feeding can fit into your family’s everyday life. Mila is a parent and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist who has completed the Advanced Lactation Program with Dr. Paola Vallarino. She is also a Lactation Intern at Mamas Au Lait and is currently working toward becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). With more than twelve years of experience in education and a Master’s Degree in Gender, Feminist and Women’s Studies, Mila brings a thoughtful, caring and non-judgemental approach to infant feeding support. Her goal is to help families feel informed, respected and confident in the feeding choices that work best for them and their babies.
