Somatic Art Therapy

Join Mary and Nicole, two counselling students, for a gentle exploration of this question through breathwork, guided visualization, and creative expression. Inspired by psychology's solution-focused “miracle question,” we’ll invite you to imagine waking up to a life where meaningful changes have taken place. What would you notice? How would you feel? What would be different in your relationships, your work, and within yourself? Through guided visualization, you’ll explore these possibilities while noticing the sensations and emotions that arise in your body. There will be space to slow down, connect with your inner wisdom, and discover what matters most to you. You’ll then express this awareness through art, letting felt sensations guide your use of colour, lines, and shapes. No art experience is needed—you do not need to know how to draw! There is no expectation to create a particular image or finished piece. This is an opportunity to be curious, follow what you feel, and create in your own way. Together, we’ll hold a peaceful, welcoming space for everyone to explore at their own pace. Sliding-scale tickets: $10, $15, or $20—choose the amount that works for you.
